Wichita Falls, TX

There's no room on base for my class to live in. So we're living in tents outside.

Just kidding! We're at a Holiday Inn 15 miles off base and we get a free cab to and from there.

There's nothing around me (as in outside my window). Except a gas station and a Sonic.

0.7 miles away is a Walgreens (which I'm loving), some dirt, a Subway (food), some weeds, a Taco Bell, some grass, a market, and an ice cream shop. We have to walk over a railroad track to get to the Walgreens plaza. I felt like a lost child trying to find her way home.

While my friend Ryan and I (yeah, I made a friend. I'll make more later once I know who's in my class. Class hasn't started yet. I only met Ryan because we had the same flight from Dallas to Wichita Falls together) were walking to Walgreens, I wanted to throw up because it is soooooooo empty out here. There's a retirement home and something else next door. And the sky is endless, no buildings or mountains to block the enormous sky. It was really weird looking at it. I don't want to look at it anymore because it's too strange and makes me feel uneasy.

Also, on the plane ride over Texes, you can see square pieces of land. Really. It looks like God cut and pasted patches of green fields. The farm land is separated into perfect squares like in Smallville. RIDIC! The roads were perfectly parallel and perpendicular to each other which also made me barf. HAHA just kidding. But seriously. Spongebob Squareland!

I wish I had a car here. I was at the gas station and had to buy nailpolish remover, but they didn't have it. The cashier told me about Walgreens.

Cashier Lady - It's right down the street.

Me - Oh, okay. Is it walking distance?
CL (hahahah CL....) - What? Don't walk there!
Me - Why?!?! It's that far?!

CL - Yeah, I wouldn't want you to walk!
Me - Omy...how far of a walk is it?

CL - Like 15 minutes.

Me - GIRL!! (jk) Oh, that's not that far!

CL - You know, I just didn't want you to walk that far.

Me - But I don't have a car here.

CL - Girl, you'll need a car.

I should really invest in a bicycle.

There are no churches walking distance from here. IDK what to do. There's probably a chapel on base but IDK how I'm going to get there (IDK if the free taxi service is for school days only or what).

BTW I don't know if I can get mail because I'm at a hotel. I should be able to right? IDK. I'll ask today or tomorrow.
