Oklahomo

My mom's side live in Oklahoma (other than my eemo, Brian, and MIchael). Ever since my mom passed away, I haven't heard anything from the Oklahomans. I have cousins I didn't even know existed.

MOVING ON

My dad wants me to visit them when I'm in Sheppard AFB, TX. But I don't want to visit them. I'd have a sweet excuse if Sheppard was located in south Texas or central Texas. But no. WICHITA FALLS IS RIGHT BELOW OKLAHOMA! LIKE RIIIIIIIIGHT BELOW!!!! LIKE DON'T-TOUCH-ME-YOU'RE-TOO-CLOSE BELOW.
See~?

Is God bringing me to Texas so that I can reunite with the Cho's and mend things?? I mean, I never even dreamed of going to Oklahoma, let alone Texas but I am forced to be there because AMOC is there.

OMG...I think God is telling me not to go because...
JUST NOW
A dirty moth landed on my lampshade in my room. "UUUUUUUUUUUUUUGHGHGHGHHGH I'M GONNA GET YOU!!" I thought sneakily. I decided that my choice of weapon was a paper towel roll. I used it last night on a small bug and it worked wonderfully!! "HEHEHEHE You're SOOOO dead!" Right after I slammed the roll onto the lamp, the bulb cracked and slowly died. With it's last breath of air, it sparked up and died again.

I'M
SO
FLIPPIN'
DUMB
!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As the light was slowly sparking away, the moth was flying gently into the night sky. I mean my room. My very dark room. Defecating everywhere. Touching all my stuff. Partying it up or some shiz. I bet you $10 I'm going to find it dead on my carpet in a week. UGH SICK!

I can't believe I didn't kill it.
jo0npark
How hard were you trying to squish it
hollerbackmf
HARD MAN!
it was HUGE!

All the cushion from the paper towels probably gave it a massage.
rndman721
HAHAHAHA
it was whispering "shit's weakkk~"
i hate when bugs get the best of me
i always find spiders in my room
and when i fail to kill them
they bite me while i sleep
hollerbackmf
wait
are you saying i'm going to get bit
rndman721
by a moth?
doubt it..
im pretty sure moths dont bite
it might flutter in your face while u sleep tho

Anyway, so, I'm thinking God's telling me not to meet with them because when people (or cartoons) usually have a good idea a bulb lights up (probably more so with cartoons)!!

This is God telling me, "Horrible idea, Rachel. Don't meet with them."

Alrighty, God. I'll do as you wish.

=============
MORNING UPDATE!!
Guess what I found on my bed next to my arm?
A piece of bulb (HAHAHAH POS. nm).
Good thing I my bulb wasn't like those Thomas Edison bulbs or else I'd have some cuts on my arm/face/back/neck/leg/foot/hand/etc (I could have used "body").

28 September 2010

L4Deprived

I feel like I haven't played L4D in forever.

Bucket-list before I leave to the place that must not be named.
1. Play L4D (let's be reasonable) 5 more times.
2. There is no 2.

27 September 2010

Eskimo

I wish I was an igloo right now.

jo0npark - did you know today's temp was record breaking?
There's no doubt in my mind that any bit of this statement is false.

I went to LA AFB to get my ABUs and we parked so far from the building. Right when we stepped outside, the sun was melting us.
Dad - Josh would give up right HERE! (pointing 2 feet in front of him).
(It you don't get it, read this post)

It sucks that my room is upstairs...facing the sun.
But what's even worse is that my 4 yr old laptop is generating all this heat. I need one of those laptop fans. But this computer is going to die soon (please don't die right now) and getting the fan would be a waste. Or would it?? I can just put it under my pillow at night.

Maybe I'll get one.

26 September 2010

Chicken Plate

I really hope Turkey Bowl is set for the Friday after Thanksgiving. That way I can come back home and play with them!!!!

I didn't want to play today.
1. There are rumors going around saying that Tuberculosis is on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. I am not going to pay 400$ to go back home and play (I would actually...But I cannot afford that).
2. It was 100+ degrees today.

SO.
I "forgot" my clothes at home AND wore my glasses today (glasses are such a BZ when you're playing sports. I should get goggles. OR I should have worn my contacts).

I ended up playing. I don't know how it happened. I just came by to watch them play in the scorching heat. Then I helped Richard and the defense with their drills. And then I was playing...

25 September 2010

To the Top of Mount Nool!

Ben, Andrew, Cliff, Josh, and I went to Mt. Baldy for a hike today.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE of us wanted to go except Ben.

During the whole ride there I was complaining to Cliff and coming up with all sorts of devious plans to avoid the hike.
- Give up half way, Cliff. - Appah will leave me there and make you continue.
- Throw our shoes out the window. - Appah will just tell you to hike in your socks.
- Knock him out. - Oooo~!
(Darn! I came up with 10 more ideas. Something about eagles and squids and so much more. I wish my memory was better.)

I thought Cliff would be the first to give up. Turns out, the biggest loser was Josh. HE KEEEEEEEEPT complaining to my dad (I was complaining, too, but not to mi papa). "Appah, I can't." "Appah, I don't want to go." "Appah, I'm going to go back." "Appah, I'm a pansy." JK. I made up the last one.

Anyway, Josh would always end up 50 yards behind us. The rest of us would hike, then wait, then hike, then wait, which, in a way, was beneficial for us because we had an excuse to rest for those 30 glorious seconds.

We all went up the first steep hill and Josh was nowhere close.
Josh - (Yelling) Appah, I can't go anymore!
Dad - That's because all you do everyday is sit on the couch and play games.
Josh - Appah, really I can't!
Dad - Fine. But you have the food in your backpack so you have to come and give it to us.

Andrew, Cliff, and I were snickering behind our dad. "HAHA SUCKER!"
Josh lasted 30 minutes into the hike.

If we were competing to take over our dad's company, Josh (even though he's the oldest son) would not be taking over as president because of his constant stream of complaints and his lack of will-power.

While we were waiting for Josh before he finally gave up, Andrew ditched us without telling us. We found him 20 minutes later up the mountain relaxing in the shade whilst chilling on a rock. My dad would not give Andrew the company because he lacked teamwork. He DITCHED US. Not a team player at all. Not someone you can trust. No bueno.

A mile from our destination (or so my dad says. I bet it was more than a mile) I was hiking behind Cliff because I felt that if I was in front of him, he would pull a Josh.

There was one point where Cliff was breathing heavily up the trail so I pushed him up.
"DONT TOUCH ME!" *gasp*
..........

Cliff finally came to a stop and shut down. I feel like my dad would choose him to take over his company because Cliff did his best to keep up and pushed himself until he could go no more.

Why wouldn't my dad leave me with his company?
Because I was lazy and used Cliff as an excuse to go back.
Me - Appah, Cliff can't go anymore. We should just go back!!
Dad - Then just you, me, and Andrew. Let's go!
Me - Oh, but we can't leave Cliff here. And if he doesn't go I don't wanna go.

We ended up stopping there and started to head back.
I WAS SOOO ECSTATIC!! I felt like the 7 dwarfs on their way home from work.
HI HO, HI HO!!!

Anyway, my dad really wanted me to go to the top of the mountain but we just gave up.
Dad - At least we got that far!

AF

I went to SDSU today to pick up my orders. Turns out I'm leaving on the 13th of October.

Wednesday

October
2010

Of course, as the date creeps up, I get more nervous and my situation gets more incomprehensible. But talking to the Sgt. Moore today about everything and receiving my orders just made things 100x more real.

Christina Lee

Oh, Christina!

I'm going to miss you SOOO MUCH when I move.
=(

My eyes are getting a little teary eyed.

(Jean, I miss you a lot. It was easier saying farewell to you because I'm still at home and I only said goodbye to you. This feeling I have right now must be how you felt when you left for Korea. PLUS you're coming back within a year..........)

Anyway, Christina!! I'm SOOOO proud of you!!! You're so smart and such a good friend. I'm glad that God brought you into my life!!!

Today was Christina's White Coat Ceremony acknowledging her acceptance into the nursing program at UCI!!! CONGRATS!!!! Really, I'm so proud!!!!! I'm so excited for you, too!! Study hard and become the best nurse in the United States and beyond (to infinity and beyond, too)!!

I hope I can make it to your graduation!! =)
(Not because it might not happen [because I know you'll make it!!] but because I might not be in the area at that time............................funk.)

21 September 2010

L4Disney

I have to make a blob entry before time's up. And I have to go somewhere soon. So...

Is there a Disneyland in Delaware? I mean. C'mon. First state, first amusement park right?

But...it's probably a run-down ghetto-ask looking amusement park. So I guess not...

I DON'T WANNA LEAVE!!!!!!!

Plus, is there anyone who is interested in doing powerpoint in the back on Sunday?!?!
Talk to ME!

20 September 2010

Boring

Why is it that life is boring when you don't have a crush??

I don't talk to Jean as much now because we got over our crushes.

Hannah tells me she wished she had a real crush because the guys she's slightly interested in are...no bueno!

Will I find one in Texas??
Delaware??

I'm hopeful!

19 September 2010

18 September 2010

Booty Booty Booty!!!

This girl and I were waiting in line to use the restroom at TGI. In the stall straight ahead of us, there was this girl who was wiping her butt. That doesn't sound disgusting at all. That's normal, Rachel!!

I know...butt this ain't.

The girl in front of me in line turned to me and we just started going crazy. How bizarre!!!!

Butt seriously. DISGUSTING! I glanced like 3 times because I couldn't believe my eyes.

I'm not a perv. I promise!!

17 September 2010

L4J

Pastor Jay played L4D with us today.

Every time he got a monster off of us or killed a human, he would acknowledge it.
"Hey, Rachel, I saved you!"
"Hey, Chris, I killed that monster off of you!"
"Hey, John, I got your back that time!"
"Hey, I killed him with my tongue!!" (that doesn't sound right)
"Was that me who killed the last person? YEAHHH!!!"

I miss playing without strategy.

And FYI I have to be in Texas by this time next month!

HOW SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

16 September 2010

Angie Land

Angie threw up at Disneyland....

Angie, Hannah, and I were eating Disneyland corn dogs (Why are they called corn dogs? Is it because it's in the shape of a corn??? Someone please answer this. I don't want to google it) and Angie scarfed down her cdog. Once she was done, she checked to see if I was finished but I wasn't even close. HAHAHA ANGIE <3

Right after eating, we went straight to Tower of Terror (Angie's first time riding). Bad idea. The stupid corn dog was trying to climb out of our stomachs...

We then went to Screamin, the rollercoaster. On our way there, we stopped by the tortilla factory and got a free corn tortilla!! YAY FOR FREE STUFF!!!! We put salsa (from the condiments section) on it and had ourselves a little snack. Angie stole soooo many packets of salsa. "You guys...I took like 7. Maaaaaaaaybe 8." We counted it and she pulled out 11 from her purse. There was probably more but she just stopped looking in her bag.

Angie didn't expect the rollercoaster to be a REAL rollercoaster. "It's Disneyland and it's supposed to be kiddy" (idk exactly what she said). After the ride, she went to the restroom and threw up a little...
-____________-

Oh, Angie. That's what she got for stealing all those packets of salsa, man.

But, I say that it was kind of my fault too because we were kind of fast walking. Or I was because I wanted to get my free pass worth and do as much as I can.

Dland <3

15 September 2010

Choo Choo!!

Today, as I was about to leave the house, Cliff came home (HBD BTW). Right when he entered through the garage door, I scared him.
Me - hehhhehhehhehehhehehehehhehehehhehehhehehe BOO!
Cliff - I hate you.

Cliff closed the garage but I had to escape and make it to my car (I don't have a garage opener, just a house key). The garage was more than halfway down when I ran from the garage door (I'm confusing myself with all this garageness). "How exciting," I thought. "I'm going to be like Indiana Jones and make it through that small opening."

As I got closer I thought, "Sheeeeet...What did you get yourself into, Rachel..."

Thinking quickly but unintelligently, I bent over and rolled out the garage like an amazing stunt double. But as I got up, I noticed the scratches on my knee and my arm. Dammit...

Cliff wasn't even there to see how cool I looked. Why did I do it?

Anyway, when I went to Pastor Rubin's house, Julius was looking at Thomas the Train Engine (is it Train Engine or Tank Engine?) on YouTube. Can you believe that THIS got 4 mil+ views?? That is just amazing. I bet 1 million of these views are from Julius alone.

I wanted to show him some cool car stuff so I typed in "cool car tricks." I clicked on a link and it was a guy drifting and doing some crazy moves. "Hrmm...is he allowed to look at this?"

Julius then clicked on another link, it was of a car chase. "Hrmm...I don't know about this..."

Then, he clicked on another link titled "car crashes" or something like that. "Uh oh. I have to go right now. What should I do..."

"BYE JULIUS!!"

Sorry Pastor Rubin!

14 September 2010

So...When Are You Leaving?

Okay.

AF - Air Force
AFB - Air Force Base
AFSC - Air Force Specialty Code
AMOC - Aircraft Maintenance Officer Course
ASBC - Air and Space Basic Course
EAD - Entry on Active Duty
HI - Waddap
RNLTD - Report No Later Than Date

HI!!

I received an email on 1 Sept informing me of my EAD which is 13 Oct (doesn't necessarily mean I leave on this date. This is when I am officially on active duty).

THAT'S TOO EARLY (that's why this was the post for that day)!!!! I was extra sad when I found out the news because my friend, Beverly, had an EAD of 10 December. Lucky BZ. I thought maybe mine would be that late so that I could practice for/attend Turkeybowl! But no. 13 OCT. THAT'S LESS THAN A MONTH FROM NOWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! DUN DUN DUUUUUUUNNN!!

My RNLTD is 6 Feb (the latest I can report to Dover AFB in Delaware [not Denver]). This means I don't even have to think about living situations or whathaveyous in DE until late January/early February. Yay??

This gives me a little less than 4 months to do SOMETHING. What is that something? I'm not too sure yet; I haven't received my orders/official documents.

Here are 3 options.
1. ASBC. This is a 6-week long course at Maxwell AFB, Alabama which entails basic training (but not the in-your-face-give-me-30-push-ups training) where us newly appointed 2dLts do something. IDK. Learn stuff. W/E. I don't care. The only ASBC slot that fits in between my EAD and RNLTD starts on 14 Oct. SO QUICK!!!
2. AMOC. This is a 14-week long course at Sheppard AFB, Texas for 21A1 (my AFSC - job).
(1&2 are pretty much more schooling. Gawd, I hate school. But I miss it so much. Maybe I'll enjoy this time.)
3. ADJS - Ain't Doing Jack Shiz. JK. There is no such thing.

Oh, Lord, I pray it's a 4 month break. Please, oh, please. Pleeeeaaaaase let the 4 months of ADJS be a huge mistake that HQ can't fix. I hope that AMOC sessions don't fit my EAD/RNLTD dead period.

Before I found out my date...
David Yang - Is it okay if I pray that you leave after Turkeybowl?
Apparently, you didn't pray sincerely enough.

================================
THIS JUST IN--
I am going to AMOC at Sheppard AFB. My RNTLD there is 17 Oct.
IT'S BECOMING MORE REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

13 September 2010

WOAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!!
ZOMG! I've never been to California and the last time I went to DLand was for band...

I'm so glad I went with Chris, Christina, Grace, Hannah, and Jay!

The best part were the FIREWORKS!!!!!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMY!!!!!!!!
Start at 4:00 Watching it right now makes me so happy inside. IT'S SO BIG!!!! It might not look big in the clip, but in real life...woah~! (*insert* "That's what she said")
I love fireworks. I wish I could just lie down in the grass- wait, no grass. I wish I could take my bed to Disneyland and watch the fireworks magically light up the air every night. SIGH.

Speaking of my bed.

Freaken HAHHAHAH I don't even know omg okay. Right before I went to bed last night, I got a cup of ice water and placed the cup on the nightstand next to my bed. I woke up a couple hours later because my bed was freezing cold. I don't even know how that happened.....I was and still am so bothered by this...guhh

I MIGHT have tipped the cup onto my bed? I don't even know. Maybe my dad sneaked into my room, tipped it over, and scurried out? IDK! It could have been 3 other suspects. I don't get it. I don't want to get the cops involved because I hate cops. O well...

----

I just realized that I have 33 posts on August. How is that possible? I have a sudden urge to either delete 2 posts or push them back one day after another and nm...

12 September 2010

Backin' Up, Backin' Up

A couple of us went to Dino's in LA yesterday. Right when I got there, this lady with a cart outside accidentally dropped her small soda. The top of the cup flew off and all of the soda/ice spilled out. I reached down and picked it up. But when I was about to hand it to her, the lady snatched the soda out of my hand, "Don't touch my things!"

................................................................................

The lady behind me said, "Don't worry about her. She's crazy. You did a good thing."

=))))))))))))))))))))))

But still...weird.
The mean ol' lady boned the heck out and didn't even get a refill....

She's like this lady.

Let's Vote

(Jean, don't look at this post)

So. Karen is really disgusted by my blob picture.

Because I am a great friend, I decided to change it.

Which one would you prefer to see every day in my blob?!

Number 1
Or number 2

10 September 2010

...

Continuing on with my yesterday...

After the DMV, I went to Boba Time and chilled with my old high school friends (some who went to UCSD, too).
Jooky (haven't used that name in a long time) - Alright, we'll stay here a max of 15 minutes. After that let's do something.

15 minutes passed by and...we were still sitting.
Me - Aren't we gonna leave now?
Jooky - If we do, we're just going to be loitering right outside.
(SOOO TRUE!! DBers = Loiterers. I miss loitering around and doing nothing.)
Jooky - Let's decide something now!

We just ended up going home.

After I got home, I impatiently waited for my dad to get home so we can go eat some PHO!!

While we were at Saigon, he was telling me and Andrew how much our insurance was because we asked him about it.
My insurance is 9k a year...
-_________________________-
My dad said that we quit AAA because my insurance rate was off the roof...
-_________________________-

W/E!! He's making me pay for the family's car insurance once I start working. Goodness. Oh well. I have to contribute somehow, unlike Josh. Jk, Josh.............................................

At Saigon...
Dad - Sangaya, after two kids, tell your husband to get surgery (vasectomy).
I guess it was really hard for him to take care of 4 kids physically, mentally, and financially.
Dad - You tell your husband to get surgery or else (picking up a chopstick) you foke him in the eye. And you, Andrew, get surgery before you get fu**** (just kidding. He said "foked." But, by golly, did it sound alike).

Fun fact - Andrew really wanted to live.
The night before my dad's surgery, Andrew was conceived.
HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA
Andrew - I'm so lucky, Appah!

-----------------
Do you know the van story?? Most of you have heard this before but I guess I'll retell it again (not too sure if I posted this either. Maybe it's on my xanga?).

In highschool, my dad let me take his Sequoia to band practice at South Pointe (we practiced parade band there. I miss band...). I didn't have a car at that time. I don't even think I had my license. I got my license the day before my 18th birthday. WOOHOO!! Anyway......

While I was watching TV at home after practice, Andrew came in through the front door.
Me - What happened?
Andrew - The van broke down on our way to Home Depot (or something, I don't remember).
Me - WHAT?!
Andrew - Yeah, right when we got on the freeway, the van broke down.

I felt SOOOO BAD and thankful because that would have been me. I wouldn't know what to do with a huge blue van. I would have panicked like crazay!!

Andrew - Appah (dad) walked like a mile ahead to the call box. And when he came back, he noticed another call box not even 20 feet behind us.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHHAHAHHA
I FELT EVEN WORSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-------------------

So, that's the story that I tell my friends. But at Saigon, I received some new information.

The tow truck brought the car to a Mobil station on Paso Real and from there, Andrew and my dad had to walk home!!! GOODNESS!!!! That's more than a mile!!

And get this...my dad was wearing massage slippers!!!
They looked like this but the bumps were smaller and there were1000xs more bumps than this. Also, it wasn't this girly looking.
Dad - My feet almost died!

Right after Saigon, I boned out and went bowling with Chris, Hannah, Crystal, Cliff, and Sam. I bowled a 151!! My highest ever!! But not as high as 180 (Crystal).
Crystal (with attitude) - Uhmm...it was 188!
HAHAHHAHAH goodness.

And Chris bowled a 203!! First time breaking 200! Congrats Chris! Way to go, buddy!

After that, Chris, Hannah, and I met up Jpyun, Wilson, Derek, and James Kim at eGames. We played our favorite game, L4D2. But this was the first time for the other team (besides Derek who "hasn't played in forever"). We pwned them so Chris went on their team and Jpyun went on ours. We still pwned them. James was the worst!! He kept DYING!!! Our team decided not to attack James because if he kept dying, he wouldn't enjoy the game and never play again, ever.

What a day!

I'm pooped.

TGFF

Thank God For Phones!

Not because I had to make an emergency phone call/text.
But so I can type in things that occurred right at that moment instead of remembering and accidentally forgetting something (I have bad memory).

I did a LOT today.

I came from SD to DB. As I was leaving Jeanne's apt, I noticed I had to get gas so I went to Shell ($3.03). BUUUT it was closed. Dang. But it's okay because I don't use Shell, I use Chevron. GO CHEVRON!! So, I went on the freeway and exited Carmel Valley, the first exit. There was ANOTHER SHELL and that was the only gas station. GGAHH!! And this was $3.17. OMY!! I just put in 5 gallons. That should last me to DB and then some.

When I got home, I gave my car a bath. I washed the mats and everything (they're in the sun getting a tan right now!).

I drove to the Pomona DMV and cut in line because I had an appointment. HAHA SUCKERS!!! But when I got inside I had to wait in a special line for 20 minutes. Dang. While I was waiting, I made a friend. I wish I got his name but at least I know his age (60). While we were patiently waiting, he said "Dang, the right hand has no clue what the left hand is doing." So wise, my friend, so wise. HAHA! Okay, not wise. But that's definitely a great way to describe the DMV.

After we finally got our ticket stubs, he sat down and left me behind. =(((((
There were no seats next to him. So I went to the other side of the room and sat there.

Behind me was a Mexican mom and her son. The little boy reminded me of Simon from El Orfanato because he was speaking Spanish to his mom. SO CUTE!!! I kept looking at him and waving while his mom was speaking to the lazy DMV worker.

Next to me was this white girl, Renee, who had the same phone as me. It was weird because no one has my caveman phone anymore. Except Lynn. Anyway, this guy, Mark, sat in front of her and started flirting with the "hot blonde." He started with "How long have you been waiting for?" BTW I know they're names because they were flirting right next to me. How could I not know?

I was sick and tired of their flirting. W/e. At least the little boy was flirting with me. HAHAHHA! Jk jk. But Simon left and I was stuck with the 21 and younger couple.

After 15 painful minutes, Renee went up to her window and the guy followed her.
He asked her to do something right when she was about to finish (something about expired tags). He mentioned earlier that he didn't have a ticket stub and I guess he was using the "dumb blonde" so that he didn't have to wait that long. What a con man. When I was driving back home, I saw him in his red truck. His license plate was 7W83185 (I have a pretty good memory when it comes to numbers). 528491? Is that the inception number?

5 more minutes passed by and my 60 year old friend that I met earlier got called.
Me - Yay! *wave*
Bob - Finally! *smile*

I went to go take my picture and the camera guy smiled at me after I smiled for my picture.

I guess the DMV wasn't a bad experience. I made a life long friend and caught 3 smiles (one from Bob, one from Simon, and one from the camera guy).

I guess if I was competing with the blonde, I'd win.

OOO and guess what I saw on my way back?!

HELLA TRAFFIC!!!

But because of this...
That suckkkksssss!!! Hope the guy's okay. And do you notice how clean my car is. Dang...look at how spakin' clean that mirror is.
