Left For What

This post was from 28 Feb 2010 (an entry I created during lent)

DEAD!

All my girlfriends at church are slowly converting into gamers and playing Left For Dead.
But anything's possible!!!

Look at James! He haaaaaaated it when people mentioned KPOP but now, he's KPOP's #1 FAN!!!

But still, I seriously can't believe my girlfriends are going to a PC bang and we're not even in Korea.

Yesterday was the first time Kurt went to K-town.

Tank - So, it's pretty much the same as Korea, huh?

Kurt - Yes, except the prices.

hahHAH

Soju in Ktown - $11.99

Soju in Korea - $3

Jean and Hannah commented on my car and said that it was so clean.

Me - I did it in the rain.
Jean - Oh, good idea!

Dad - Sanga ya, Andrew. Come downstairs. It's very important.
Us - Okay.
My dad and step mom were cracking walnuts.
Andrew - How is this important?
Dad - It's good for your teeth!

----------------

Back to present day.

I'm going to miss playing L4D with Jean. We played...4 times this week and Jean was good all 4 times!!! 4 times out of 7 days. That's disgusting. What's even more disgusting is that we played one night after the other...and the last night (yesterday night) we played twice...so 4 times in 3 days...HAHAHAHAHHA!!!

And Kurt is back in Corea, and has been for a while. We miss you Kurt! Keep Jean company!!!!!!!

How Did This Get Stuck?

The other day, I saw my saxophone and decided to play it. I couldn't think of anything to play because I forgot everything (I miss band) so I played George Oscar Bluth's theme song. I really enjoy that song. =)

Yesterday, I was whistling Gob's theme song all day. Like all day. And I don't even know the whole song, only the first 20 notes. And I kept whistling that over and over and over.

Andrew was on his way to the bathroom and started to hum it. He has never watched an episode of Arrested Development. HAHAHHAHA

"How the heck did this song get stuck in my head..."

Shins

Shin ramyun in the cup is so delicious.

Me - Hey Andrew, do you want to have half of this?
(I offered him half because he already ate breakfast)
Andrew - Uh.......yeah.
Me - Do you want to eat one by yourself.
Andrew - Yeahhhh.

20 minutes later I see two cup ramyun tops next to Andrew on the computer.
Good thing I didn't share with him. I would have eaten negative 1 and a half ramyuns. Or something like that. I don't know...I'm not in college anymore.

"I'm not in college anymore."

That's so weird...

Julie's Plea

Due to high demand, well...not really high...it was only Julie Hong - i wish u still blobbed everyday =(,
(BUT I KNOW THIS IS WHAT EVERYONEBODY IS THINKING!)
I will be writing in my blob daily until I go to Delaware. Or at least attempt to.

I'm thinking of what to blob about and nothing comes to mind. So, I looked at all the drafts I created during lent and some of these stories are pretty excellent. But I don't want to post them because I am selfish and want to keep them. JK. I have to spread these babies out...maybe I'll post an old post every Saturday. Yeah, something like that.

I really can't think of anything...so I'll finish this blob later today.

But...I really can't think of anything.

Where Is She?

I'm going to DE (I'm not sure when yet. Earliest 1 Oct. Latest 13 Dec) and decided to live with another person, preferably another female officer. I looked up the new LTs going to Dover AFB and there are 6 people going excluding me (from the ROTC program). ALL BOYS! I guess that's kind of a good thing.

HAHA!! Just kidding.

Who am I going to live with then...poo.

POO90X

Chris, Jean, and I have been doing P90X for a little over a week now and our bowel movements (at least for Jean and me) have been fabulous.

She poo'd 4 times today within a 18 (?) hour span.

Not the point of the story.

I went numero dos today and when I looked at the results, I vocally expressed my opinion of it.

"Woah~!"

Never have I ever said that before in my life. I mean, I'm sure many of you have had opinions of your excrements but have you shouted to the top of your lungs?? Just kidding. I didn't shout it. I was just flabbergasted from the awesomeness of it.

=)

Big Appah

On New Years day my dad and my brothers went over to my dad's older brothers house to eat. He told us to have a passion and be smart about our decisions in english. ENGLISH!!!!!!!

Cliff - This is the most he's spoken english to us.

SERIOUSLY! He always speaks to us in Korean and we just don't understand (partially). But this time, he was speaking full ENGLISH!! CMON KUN APPAH!!! WHY DIDN'T YOU SPEAK TO US EARLIER IN OUR LIVES!!!!!

Today, I went to LA with my dad to eat with my uncle at a Korean restaurant. He was telling me a story when he was little in ENGLISH...

Uncle - When I was little, there was an American air base that came to Korea and we thought the officers were so cool. The officers would ask us to help them hunt so we would go to the forest and go hunting. During their lunch break, they would eat out of cans and we thought it was from outer space. The food was so colorful and smelled so delicious. When the officers threw away the cans, we would run out to grab the cans. If we got one, we would call ourselves lucky. We would lick the inside of the cans and make planes and whatever out of it. Hahaha.

So, cute. I wish I knew my uncle understood english so I could be closer to him. He's my dad's oldest sibling and he's getting old.

In the car on the way there, I told my dad about the New Years incident and how we didn't know he spoke english.

Dad - Oh, yeah~! In Korea, we learned english starting middle school. Simple english, like Tom and Jerry and those kind of things. In high school we learn a little more english but it's not that great. But your kun appah (uncle) read the Times in middle school. He was one of the best. No one else new english like he did.

Wow, kun appah. I admire you so much!! =)

When we came back to my uncle's house, my cousin was there and I asked her about what she was doing and what her siblings were doing. She asked what Josh, Cliff, and Andrew were majoring in and what they were doing.
Cousin - Dang, no doctors or lawyers in our family.

HAHAHA. She's a nurse and her brothers and sister are in fashion.
I didn't know they had 4 children either. Wow.

FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!

I want to have babies before my uncle passes.
HUSBAND!!! FIND ME!

Engage!!

For P90X, you have to engage your muscles for some of the exercises.

But I'm talking about real engagements.

I went online and randomly looked up wedding proposals, and some of these are just too corny.

- Take the engagement ring and tie a thread to it. Tie the other end of the thread around your finger. Tell your partner, "I have a present for you, but there's a string attached."

...

- During a special evening, present your love with three roses: Tell her one represents the past, one represents the present, and the last one (with the ring tied to it) represents the future.

No.

- During dinner at your favorite restaurant, arrange with the waiter to have the diamond in a box as one of the choices on the dessert tray. Tell her she is the sweetest thing you know and you can't resist her any longer.

Barf.

- Invite her for some games at home. Use Scrabble letters and spell out "Will you marry me?" Have the diamond close by.

Nope.

- Take her for a surprise picnic at the beach or in the woods. At the picnic spot, spell out "Marry Me" with stones, flowers or seashells. Put the diamond in her hand when she says yes.

Oh, please.

- Turn off all the lights in your apartment and make a trail of candles that leads to a circle of votives positioned around a ring.

Yawn.

- Create a personalized fortune cookie with your own proposal message.

Really??

Sorry if this is what you've done to get your wife...anyway.

Some proposals were super adorable...CAN'T WAIT! HURRY, BOY!! And it better be romantic!!

Speaking of getting asked.....CCM has a banquet every year celebrating the year God has given to us, for the year we had together, and for recognizing the seniors for being great and awesome.

Anyway, there's this tradition where each senior gets asked to banquet by a freshman (sophomores if there aren't enough freshmen).

Weeks go by and I'm waiting for someone to ask me. No one does. The first to get asked is Jono. This was maybe 3 weeks before the banquet, which is late...but not THAT late.

Another week goes by and a couple of other seniors are getting asked while I wait around. Banquet is on Tuesday and it's the weekend prior...WHAT THE FREAK YOU STUPID BOY HURRY UP AND ASK!

I got my dress before I got asked (hopefully that doesn't happen for my wedding)!!

Monday goes by and NOTHINGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm getting pissed off because everyone has been asked but me.

The day of...
Dom - Hey Rachel. I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY! But will you go to banquet with me (over a text).
Me - Are you kidding me? No.
Dom - Please please please!!! I'm SOOOOO SORRYYY!!!
Me - No.
Dom calls me but I don't pick up.
Me (via text again) - Stop calling me.
Dom - Please go. I'm so sorry I'm late blah blah blah blah
Eventually...
Me - FINE I'LL GO W/ YOU!

We get to banquet and my friend Eunice was there (thanks for coming, Eunice)!!!!
Eunice - Is this your date?? How'd he ask you?
Me - You tell her, Dom.
Dom - story story story.
Eunice - WHAT?? She's been waiting 4 years for this!!!

I didn't even realize. Thanks, Dom, you stupid sophomore/now junior.

But yes. Future fiancée, please do this right...
