NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE of us wanted to go except Ben.
During the whole ride there I was complaining to Cliff and coming up with all sorts of devious plans to avoid the hike.
- Give up half way, Cliff. - Appah will leave me there and make you continue.
- Throw our shoes out the window. - Appah will just tell you to hike in your socks.
- Knock him out. - Oooo~!
(Darn! I came up with 10 more ideas. Something about eagles and squids and so much more. I wish my memory was better.)
I thought Cliff would be the first to give up. Turns out, the biggest loser was Josh. HE KEEEEEEEEPT complaining to my dad (I was complaining, too, but not to mi papa). "Appah, I can't." "Appah, I don't want to go." "Appah, I'm going to go back." "Appah, I'm a pansy." JK. I made up the last one.
Anyway, Josh would always end up 50 yards behind us. The rest of us would hike, then wait, then hike, then wait, which, in a way, was beneficial for us because we had an excuse to rest for those 30 glorious seconds.
We all went up the first steep hill and Josh was nowhere close.
Josh - (Yelling) Appah, I can't go anymore!
Dad - That's because all you do everyday is sit on the couch and play games.
Dad - That's because all you do everyday is sit on the couch and play games.
Josh - Appah, really I can't!
Dad - Fine. But you have the food in your backpack so you have to come and give it to us.
Andrew, Cliff, and I were snickering behind our dad. "HAHA SUCKER!"
Josh lasted 30 minutes into the hike.
If we were competing to take over our dad's company, Josh (even though he's the oldest son) would not be taking over as president because of his constant stream of complaints and his lack of will-power.
While we were waiting for Josh before he finally gave up, Andrew ditched us without telling us. We found him 20 minutes later up the mountain relaxing in the shade whilst chilling on a rock. My dad would not give Andrew the company because he lacked teamwork. He DITCHED US. Not a team player at all. Not someone you can trust. No bueno.
A mile from our destination (or so my dad says. I bet it was more than a mile) I was hiking behind Cliff because I felt that if I was in front of him, he would pull a Josh.
There was one point where Cliff was breathing heavily up the trail so I pushed him up.
"DONT TOUCH ME!" *gasp*
..........
Cliff finally came to a stop and shut down. I feel like my dad would choose him to take over his company because Cliff did his best to keep up and pushed himself until he could go no more.
Why wouldn't my dad leave me with his company?
Because I was lazy and used Cliff as an excuse to go back.
Me - Appah, Cliff can't go anymore. We should just go back!!
Dad - Then just you, me, and Andrew. Let's go!
Me - Oh, but we can't leave Cliff here. And if he doesn't go I don't wanna go.

We ended up stopping there and started to head back.
I WAS SOOO ECSTATIC!! I felt like the 7 dwarfs on their way home from work.
HI HO, HI HO!!!
Anyway, my dad really wanted me to go to the top of the mountain but we just gave up.
Dad - At least we got that far!
"hi ho, hi ho"
